How often do you get the opportunity to do something that few have ever done before? That is what St. Martha Parish and St. Mary Parish are offering to our young people in the summer. They can take part in the presentation of ‘Churchus Smirkus’! We have a great opportunity to continue to present this fun-filled, faith-filled week to our children because we were blessed by the presence of Father Jerry Hogan, National Catholic Chaplain for all the circuses performing in the United States!
Churchus Smirkus will offer the opportunity to have fun, make new friends, and grow in faith at a circus-themed Vacation Bible Camp right here in Plainville and Wrentham. The ‘Big Top’ will be set in place on the spacious grounds of St. Martha, Plainville (dates to annouced each year). The target group for Churchus Smirkus is children entering Kindergarten through those entering 6th Grade. We can make some exception for younger children of parent volunteers, and we encourage middle school and high school students to help as junior and senior counselors. Beginning at 9:00am each morning, we will gather in the ‘Big Top’ for Bible stories, games, crafts, snacks, singing and praying! The circus will continue until 12 Noon each day.
A registration link will be on the parish web sites each year!
